In the Master of Human Rights you’ll develop a sound understanding of advocacy, treaty body reporting, human rights campaigning and media strategies. These are key skills if you want to work in a human rights organisation.
You’ll become familiar with the global context and New Zealand’s progress in human rights, human rights communication and advocacy, methods of human rights investigation, policy development and analysis. To complete this programme you’ll attend a series of block courses, delivered by international experts.
Minimum entry requirements
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of a B grade average or higher, in papers at level 7 or equivalent.
Delivered as a series of block courses, this programme builds on your knowledge as you progress through the papers.
Human rights work in government, policy agencies, national human rights institutions, and international and national NGOs.
