Master of Education

Develop advanced knowledge and critical analysis skills in the broader area of education. The Master of Education is designed for professionals in early childhood education, compulsory education, adult and tertiary education and non-formal education. There’s a strong focus on evaluating education theory from a practice perspective, covering a range of different educational sectors and settings.

You can specialise in a specific subfield of education and in your thesis you can investigate an issue, innovation or problem in your own educational setting. You’re encouraged to develop a cross-disciplinary approach to your studies while developing and applying theoretical and grounded perspectives of a wide range of issues and contexts in education.

Master of Education

You complete the master’s degree with papers and a:

  • 120-point research thesis, or
  • 90-point research thesis, or
  • 60-point dissertation
