The Certificate in [Specialty] Education covers the initial theory and practice relevant to primary or early childhood settings. Students who complete this certificate may be eligible to enter the second year of the Bachelor of Education.

  • Interview, numeracy and literacy competency assessment, referee and police check, personal declaration

  • IELTS (Academic) 6.5 overall with all bands 6.5 or higher; or equivalent.

  • Apply to enrol at AUT
  • The School of Education will contact you to sit a basic numeracy and literacy assessment, book an interview time and complete the compliance documentation (including police and referee checks) as required by the Teaching Council.

Overseas police certificates must be less than 12 months old at the time the application is lodged.
