Bachelor of Creative Technologies (Honours)

The Bachelor of Creative Technologies (Honours) is designed as the first year of postgraduate study in a variety of emerging interdisciplinary fields. This is your chance to undertake more independent, research-based and interdisciplinary projects in association with industry partners.

At the centre of your study is the research project. This could be a sponsored industry project or part of a research programme, and can include an industry placement or an internship.

Minimum entry requirements

English language requirements

  • IELTS (Academic) 6.5 overall with all bands 6.0 or higher; or equivalent

You’ll develop your research, problem solving, communication and analytical skills to a professional standard. You’ll be based in the studio with other students, sharing ideas and working on a variety of practical projects.

Research Methods

Develop research skills and a practical understanding of the principles, methodologies and processes for undertaking interdisciplinary research in the creative industries. This paper adopts critical and analytical approaches to cultural, social, philosophical and technological aspects of a research project proposal.

Research Project

This is undertaken as self-directed study, a sponsored industry project or as part of a research programme. It can include an industry placement or an internship.

You also complete a 15-point paper at level 8 as approved by the programme leader.
