Short business programmes

Our short study programmes offer you the opportunity to either step sideways or step up depending on what you're aspiring to.

All of our short business programmes can be completed in four to five months of full-time study.

Certificate in Business Studies

Step sideways or step up, the choice is yours with a Certificate in Business Studies. With the flexibility of choosing four papers from within the Bachelor of Business you can choose to study general business papers or focus on an area of interest to you. You will gain the formal qualification you need while also getting specialised knowledge in a short period of time.

If you want to continue studying business, you can cross-credit your points into the Bachelor of Business degree.

You can choose four 15-point papers from the Bachelor of Business that interest you for a general Certificate in Business Studies.

Want to show that you have skills in a specific business discipline? If you want to graduate with a focus area showing on your graduation parchment, you’ll need to complete three of your four 15-point papers in one area.

Focus areas vary depending on your start date but could include areas such as:

  • Entrepreneurship and Innovation
  • Human Resource Management and Employment Relations
  • Information Systems
  • International Business and Strategy
  • Leading Self and Others
  • Management
  • Occupational Health, Safety and Wellbeing
  • Small and Medium Enterprises

Graduate Certificate in Business

Advance your knowledge or change your career. If you have an undergraduate degree in an area other than business and want to develop business skills, you can get a business edge in just five months. You can gain general business knowledge or specialise in one of our focus areas.

Advance your career in just 5 months with our Postgraduate Certificate in Business. You’ll need an undergraduate business degree and may be looking for the next level of knowledge. With our Postgraduate Certificate in Business, you’ll build on your undergraduate degree and develop advanced level business skills, subject knowledge and research skills.

If you want to continue studying, you can cross-credit your points into the Master of Business degree.
