The AUT Business School and School of Economics are actively engaged with researchers and educators around the world through a range of global organisations and initiatives.

The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International) is a global membership association for the management education sector. AACSB also provides internationally recognised accreditation; the AUT Business School has held AACSB accreditation since 2011.

The Association of Asia Pacific Business Schools seeks to advance the quality of business and management education in the Asia-Pacific region through collaborations in teaching and research. AAPBS is the largest network of best business schools in the Asia-Pacific region; the AUT Business School was granted full membership in 2005.

The Accounting and Finance Association of Australia and New Zealand is the premier body for those involved in accounting and finance education and research in Australia and New Zealand.

The Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management aims to advance management education, research, and practice. It is the primary professional body for management educators, researchers and practitioners in Australia and New Zealand.


The Australian and New Zealand Marketing Academy is an organisation for educators and practitioners interested in marketing theory and research. The AUT Business School's Marketing, Advertising, Retailing and Sales department is strongly engaged in the academy's network and forums.


Consejo Latinoamericano de Escuelas de Administración (CLADEA), the Latin American Council of Management Schools, is one of the largest networks of business schools worldwide, with members from Latin America, North America, Europe and Oceania. The AUT Business School was granted membership in October 2012.

EFMD logo

The European Foundation for Management Development has over 750 members from academia, business, public service and consultancy across 81 countries. Only quality institutions are selected to join EFMD’s forum for research, networking and debate on innovation and best practice in management development. The AUT Business School was granted membership in 2004.


The mission of the Principles for Responsible Management Education initiative is to inspire and champion responsible management education, research and thought-leadership globally. The AUT Business School was accepted into the initiative in 2013, committing to use the PRME Six Principles as a guiding framework for school's activities. The school's 2018 Progress Report details actions taken towards implementing and supporting the Principles.
