This minor provides an overview of the sports industry from an interdisciplinary perspective. It gives you an overall understanding of the theoretical and practical aspects of marketing management in the sports industry, especially how sports marketing activities and strategies contribute to sports business success.
You'll be introduced to the business of sports from a strategic marketing perspective and will develop the skills and knowledgebase for careers in the sports and marketing industries. You'll gain skills in research, segmentation, product and fan development, pricing, licensing, and in communication channels such as advertising, sales promotion, public relations and publicity.
