Money and Banking

If you enjoy working with numbers and are interested in learning how money flows through a country’s economy, this minor is for you. This minor will explore the fundamentals of monetary and banking systems and the role that the Reserve Bank of New Zealand play in managing monetary conditions.

You will learn how to manage your personal and business finances better, how interest and inflation rates are determined, and how monetary conditions affect business. This minor will enhance your financial literacy, as well as analytical thinking and quantitative skills.

Available as a minor only.

Minor must include

60 points from the courses listed below including ECON521, and at least 15 points at level 7
