This scholarship was offered for the first time in 2019 and students who meet the criteria are encouraged to apply.
Available to Māori postgraduate students undertaking study in a field that will support the strategic interests and direction of their Hapū or Iwi. Applications must submit a letter of support from the Chair (or equivalent).

How and when do students learn of the decision?
All applicants (successful and unsuccessful) will be notified in writing within three months after the scholarship closing date.
What conditions are attached to acceptance of this award?
If you meet scholarship criteria, you can apply for as many scholarships as you wish, however you can only be awarded one.
Additional information
You must advise the Māori Education Trust of any changes to your application (e.g. change of address or withdrawal from studying). All changes must be advised in writing (email or post).
