Available to Māori postgraduate students undertaking study in science (biology, chemistry, physics), technology, engineering or mathemathics.  Applicants must meet all crieria and submit two references, one of which must be an academic reference.

Selection criteria:

  • Applicants must: be of New Zealand Māori descent; be enrolled at a tertiary institute in 2020; meet the criteria for the scholarships applied for; submit the application and supporting documentation on time.

How and when do students learn of the decision?
All applicants (successful and unsuccessful) will be notified in writing within three months after the scholarship closing date.

What conditions are attached to acceptance of this award?
You must advise the Māori Education Trust of any changes to your application (e.g. change of address or withdrawal from studying). All changes must be advised in writing (email or post).

Additional information
f you meet scholarship criteria, you can apply for as many scholarships as you wish, however you can only be awarded one.
