Available to Māori undergraduate students who are in their second or third year of study in 2019.  Priority will be given to students with financial need.

Selection criteria:

  • Applicants must: be of New Zealand Māori descent; be enrolled at a New Zealand tertiary institute in 2020; be attending full-time study for the full year; meet the criteria for the scholarships applied for; submit the application and supporting documentation on time. Important Information:

How do students apply?
If you meet scholarship criteria, you can apply for as many scholarships as you wish, however you can only be awarded one. Information will be saved automatically as you move from one page of the application to the next.

How and when do students learn of the decision?
All applicants (successful and unsuccessful) will be notified in writing within three months after the scholarship closing date.

What conditions are attached to acceptance of this award?
You must advise the Māori Education Trust of any changes to your application (e.g. change of address or withdrawal from studying). All changes must be advised in writing (email or post).
