Rural Women New Zealand Bursaries and Grants are available each year to assist with education, learning and personal development; for community projects and activities; the purchase of resources; and in times of natural disaster, all which benefits the rural community.

This is a one off grant available to tertiary students to assist with the purchase of resource materials, including software.

Bursary Commitee of Rural New Zealand Council.

How and when do students learn of the decision?
Applications will be considered by the Bursary Committee of Rural Women New Zealand Council at the May meeting. The decision of the Committee is final and all candidates will be notified of the results of their application. Payment of the grant will be made to the applicant by 31 May.

What conditions are attached to acceptance of this award?

The application form must be accompanied by the following: a) a letter, written by the applicant, outlining the reasons for requiring this financial assistance, the reasons for the proposed course of study and the intended use of the qualification b) a character reference from a responsible Officer of the Rural Women New Zealand Branch concerning the circumstances of the family and the need for assistance for the applicant's education c) a character reference from a responsible citizen other than a teacher or member of the Rural Women New Zealand Branch d) proof of enrolment at University, Polytechnic or College for a full year course Note 1 The above character references may be sent directly by the referee to Rural Women New Zealand marked "Bursary - Confidential" Note 2 If this application is accompanied by an application for either a Rural Women New Zealand Tertiary or Agricultural Bursary, only one set of supporting documents is required.
