Auckland University of Technology (AUT) and the Faculty of Culture and Society provide scholarships to recognise and support high achieving international students as they begin their journey in becoming great graduates of AUT.
How do students apply?
Application is through the AUT online scholarship portal www.aut.ac.nz/scholarships opening September. Applicants must complete the AUT International Scholarships - Faculty of Culture and Society application available online via the link on this page.
Applicants are required to upload:
a) Current and valid conditional or unconditional offer to study at AUT.
b) Detailed academic transcript with grading scale of the most recent qualification.
c) Completion certificate (e.g., bachelor’s degree certificate), if applicable.
All documentation must be uploaded by the closing date otherwise the application will be considered ineligible.

Applications will be shortlisted and selected by the selection committee comprising of Dean (or nominee), representative of Faculty of Culture and Society and AUT International. Applicants who have declared other forms of scholarships both internally (i.e., awarded by AUT) and externally (e.g., government scholarships) will be considered on a case-by-case basis regarding eligibility. The country of origin of the applicant may be considered by the selection committee to align with AUT’s strategic aims.
How and when do students learn of the decision?
All applicants will be notified of the outcome by the University Scholarships Office once the selection panel have made their decisions.
What conditions are attached to acceptance of this award?
The award of this scholarship is conditional on the student gaining entry to and enrolling in an AUT programme of study in the Faculty of Culture and Society in Semster 1, 2023. The scholarship cannot be deferred.
Additional information
The scholarship will be paid as a compulsory fees credit towards the first year of study at AUT, based on enrolment and payment of tuition in at least 120 points.
