AUT's Faculty of Culture and Society offers an extensive range of programmes and a diverse, rich research profile. Undergraduate degree programs in the Faculty of Culture and Society are available in within three Schools: Education Hospitality and Tourism Language and Culture Social Sciences and Public Policy
In order to strengthen the partnership between Wuhan University and Auckland University of Technology (AUT), AUT will offer up to four fee scholarships annually (two in Semester 1 and two in Semester 2) for one semester of study in an undergraduate degree programme within the Faculty of Culture and Society based at AUT.
- Applicants must have been nominated by Wuhan University and apply by be enrolling in a full-time Bachelor degree programme within the Faculty of Culture and Society. Nominated students must meet the AUT entry requirements including English Language Proficiency requirements and apply on-line for International Admission to AUT. Applicants for admission need to indicate their programme(s) of choice and major. They will be automatically assessed for all programme choices at the same time. How do students apply?

Application requirements Applicants who have been nominated by Wuhan University must apply through the on-line AUT Scholarship application portal. A link to this portal will be provided to nominated applicants by the AUT Scholarships Office. Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria for admission to AUT and complete and submit the online application available from the link above. Applicants will be required to upload: - A one-page personal statement in English explaining their reasons for wishing to attend AUT University, the academic goals they hope to achieve while there and why they believe they merit the scholarship. - A letter of recommendation from Wuhan University - A copy of the applicant’s academic transcript - A copy of a recent IELTS result or equivalent. All documentation must be received by the closing date inclusive of reference statements or the application will not be able to be submitted and will be considered ineligible.
Conditions of selection The successful recipients will be selected by a panel of representatives from the Faculty of Culture and Society. The decision of the selection panel is final. If the panel is of opinion that there is no applicant of sufficient merit, the scholarship will not be awarded.

What conditions are attached to acceptance of this award?
Conditions of acceptance The award of this scholarship is conditional on the recipient gaining entry to and enrolling into an undergraduate degree programme at AUT. The scholarship will cover 60pts of an undergraduate degree programme. The recipient will normally be expected to enrol in a minimum of 60pts. The contribution towards fees will be paid directly towards tuition and student services fees. This scholarship may not be held in conjunction with any other fees scholarship. The recipient may hold non fee based scholarships with the approval of the Scholarships Office. Except in cases where there are compelling medical reasons or adverse personal circumstances beyond a student’s control, the uptake of scholarships cannot be deferred. The Scholarships Office has the power to terminate or suspend a scholarship if it receives an unsatisfactory report on the academic progress of a recipient Recipients who take up this Scholarship but do not complete at least one semester of study at AUT may be required to pay back the full value of the scholarship received.
The AUT Faculty of Culture and Society will fund International tuition fees and student services fees for one semester of undergraduate study within the Faculty of Culture and Society. The scholarship will cover a maximum of 60pts.
