Kate Edger Educational Charitable Trust Postgraduate Diploma Awards

To assist women graduates to undertake a Postgraduate Diploma at an approved Institute in the Auckland area.

Selection criteria:

• In making these awards, the selection committee shall give consideration to: a) the applicant’s academic record; b) the applicant’s referee’s report; c) the applicant’s need for financial assistance; d) the applicant’s aspirations for the future; e) any special circumstances, e.g. family responsibilities, personal disability, considered relevant.

How do students apply?
If enrolled at the Auckland University of Technology apply via the  AUT Online Application Link. If enrolled at the University of Auckland, apply through the Scholarships Portal. Students enrolled at other Auckland institutes should download and complete the application forms.

Decision makers
The Kate Edger Educational Charitable Trust will convene a selection panel who will determine awardees.

How and when do students learn of the decision?
If you are enrolled at the University of Auckland, the Scholarships Office will contact you to inform you of the outcome of your application. If you are enrolled at another institute, you will be contacted by the Awards Coordinator at the Kate Edger Educational Charitable Trust.

What conditions are attached to acceptance of this award?
Applicants for the Postgraduate Diploma Awards must be: a) women; b) New Zealand Citizens or Permanent Residents; c) enrolled or planning to enrol full time for a Postgraduate Diploma, for the following academic year, at the University of Auckland, the Albany Campus of Massey University, AUT University, Manukau Institute of Technology, Unitec, Te Whare Wānanga O Awanuiārangi, Auckland, or Whitecliffe College of Art and Design. These awards may not be held concurrently with an award or grant of equal or higher value. This includes sponsored or paid study leave.

Additional information
A successful applicant is required to complete her year of study and to make a brief report at the end of this study.  Failure to complete two full consecutive semesters will require refund of the full value of the award
