This scholarship is supported by Seddon Memorial Technical College alumni and other donors.
The purpose of this scholarship is to recognise an academically able student who is making a positive contribution to the community and to encourage them to study at Honours, course work Master's or Postgraduate Diploma level at AUT University.
How do students apply?
Application is through the AUT online scholarship application portal. A link will be available by the beginning of March from the link above. Applicants are expected to upload: • Academic transcripts for tertiary study other than that completed at AUT • A brief outline of their community contribution and/or activities (maximum one A4 page) Applicants must nominate one referee in the portal. This referee must be a person of standing in the applicant’s area of community involvement who will attest the community contribution and or involvement. If not already enrolled in an Honours, course work Master’s or Postgraduate Diploma programme, proof of eligibility to enrol in the programme

A panel (to be appointed by the Secretary of AUT Foundation) will submit a shortlist of three applicants based on the selection criteria and recommend a preferred candidate to the AUT Foundation Board of Trustees before first week of May for ratification The AUT Foundation Board of Trustees will approve the successful applicant at its May/June meeting

The successful applicant must be enrolled in an Honours, course work Master's or Postgraduate Diploma programme at AUT in Semester 1 in the year of application.
