The Cambridge Commonwealth, European & International Trust offers several prestigious awards each year to enable graduates of high academic ability to study at Cambridge University in Britain.
To support students wishing to do a PhD at Cambridge.
The scholarships are awarded by the Cambridge Commonwealth, European & International Trust following nomination by the Scholarships Committee of Universities New Zealand - Te Pōkai Tara.
How and when do students learn of the decision?
CCEIT make decisions in the year following application, around May/June. Candidates will be notified by phone or email.
What conditions are attached to acceptance of this award?
If at any time the Board of Graduate Studies considers that a scholar is not making satisfactory progress, the Board will forward a report on the work of that scholar to the Cambridge Commonwealth, European & International Trust and to Universities New Zealand - Te Pōkai Tara. The report may, if the Board of Graduate Studies thinks fit, include a recommendation that the scholarship be suspended or terminated.
The scholarship normally includes the University Composition Fee at the appropriate rate (either arts or science) and an annual stipend sufficient for a single person.
