To assist women to complete the final year of a full-time undergraduate Bachelor with Honours degree or postgraduate Bachelor with Honours degree at an approved Institute in the Auckland area.
Kate Edger Educational Charitable Trust - Dame Dorothy Winstone Doctoral Completion Awards
To assist a woman graduate currently enrolled full-time at a tertiary Institute who will have completed a minimum of three years’ full-time or six years’ part-time study towards a PhD or named Doctorate. This award will enable the successful applicant to have at least 4 months free of employment and to remain or to become a full-time student in order to make substantial progress towards completion of a PhD or named Doctorate qualification.
Kate Edger Educational Charitable Trust - First Year Doctoral Awards
To assist women graduates currently enrolled in their first year of full-time study at a tertiary Institute in the Auckland area towards a PhD or named Doctorate. Students who have completed one year of full-time studies (or equivalent) are not eligible for consideration for this award.
Kate Edger Educational Charitable Trust - Foundation Awards
To assist women, who have completed a full time Foundation Course at an approved tertiary institute totalling 120 points at NCEA Level 3 or above, and have enrolled in their first year of full time study for their first degree or diploma at an approved Institute in the Auckland area, to meet course expenses.
Kate Edger Educational Charitable Trust - Māori/Pasifika Midwifery Award
This award is to support a Māori or Pasifika student enrolled full-time in the third year or above of the Bachelor of Health Sciences - Midwifery programme at Auckland University of Technology (AUT).
Kate Edger Educational Charitable Trust - Master's Degree Award
To assist women graduates to carry out study for a Master’s Degree at an approved Institute in the Auckland area. The awards will be made for a year of study that includes either coursework and/or a research component.
Kate Edger Educational Charitable Trust - Post-Doctoral Research Awards
To assist women who have qualified to graduate with a doctoral degree within the last two years to carry out research on a specified, independent project at an approved Institute in the Auckland area.
Kate Edger Educational Charitable Trust - Practicum Awards
Awards will be made for a year of study that requires a student to undertake a practicum which is usually unpaid and involves travel or residence away from home.
Kate Edger Educational Charitable Trust Awards in Fashion Design
These awards are sponsored by Starchi Ltd and are to assist women enrolled in the third year of the Bachelor of Design programme, majoring in Fashion Design within the School of Art and Design at Auckland University of Technology (AUT).
Kate Edger Educational Charitable Trust Midwifery/Nursing Clinical Placement Award in Memory of Ngaire Miller
Applications are open to students studying at AUT, the University of Auckland, MIT, Unitec, Massey University Auckland & Wellington, Whitireia New Zealand and Victoria University of Wellington. The award is intended to encourage students currently based in Auckland and Wellington to take up rural/provincial placements by contributing towards accommodation and transport costs.
Kate Edger Educational Charitable Trust NZ Contemporary Art Award
The Award is available for a male or female student enrolled in the third year or above of a degree or post-graduate degree in an Arts-related area at an NZQA-accredited tertiary institute in the Auckland/Northland region. The Award is intended to contribute towards the payment of academic fees.
Kate Edger Educational Charitable Trust Postgraduate Diploma Awards
To assist women graduates to undertake a Postgraduate Diploma at an approved Institute in the Auckland area.
Kate Edger Educational Charitable Trust Tressa Thomas Retraining Award
To assist mature women, aged 25 and above, to undertake study in order to return to a profession or to take up work (paid or unpaid) in the community.
Kauri Museum Mervyn Sterling Scholarship
To encourage undergraduate study and applied research in New Zealand in the fields of environmental conservation, ecology, natural heritage and Northland history (especially Otamatea County).
Keir Trust Study Award
The purpose of The Keir Trust Study Awards is to encourage students from both the Auckland area and beyond who are facing financial barriers to undertake tertiary studies at AUT by offering financial assistance and on-going non-financial support. In doing this we actively encourage recipients to act as role models for other people in their school/communities.
Keystone Trust Student Study Awards
The Award not only includes financial assistance of $5,000.00 per annum for a period of three years, but also offers mentoring and networking opportunities across all of our sponsor family. This additional support far outweighs the monetary contribution and is an invaluable part of your learning experiences. Currently ten Keystone Study Awards are presented each year to high school students moving into tertiary study.
