Students will develop and demonstrate core competencies required for safe, ethical, and culturally responsive practice as Psychology Assistants, including foundational skills in assessment, intervention, communication, case management, and teamwork. The course emphasises the integration of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and cultural safety, reflective practice, legal and ethical knowledge, and regular supervision within applied placements.
