This course has three inter-dependent components; an introduction to the emerging field of positive psychology which is the scientific study of the strengths and virtues that enable individuals and communities to thrive; an analysis of the definitions, measurement, and applications of the concepts of quality of life, wellbeing and happiness; and the application of positive psychology to mental health recovery processes and approaches including psychological counselling.
