Utilises waka ama and other outdoor physical activities as platforms to teach Māori perspectives of physical activity. Explores the close connection between health and the environment as outlined in kōrero tuku iho (Māori knowledge and narratives). Students will integrate theory as they participate in outdoor activities, actively learning through waka ama, hīkoi, traditional games, and other outdoor-based activities.
