Do we pay too much for groceries? An introduction to the principles of strategic thinking for business and beyond, cutting through the fog and the buzzwords. You will uncover the dynamics of competition in different market structures and explore the foundations of business profitability. You will also understand the role of the Commerce Commission as market “referee” and learn to distinguish legitimate competitive behaviour from illegal anti-competitive conduct. This course is essential in business, or seeking a career in management or economic consulting, or wishing to drive economic policy in the public sector.
