An application of economic models to a variety of business and policy problems. Methods of optimisation are applied to consumer, firm and government decisions. Markets and prices are analysed through the lens of equilibrium. The welfare generated by markets and policy interventions are assessed. Decision making under the conditions of uncertainty and/or incomplete information are also presented. Detailed applications illustrate the use of these tools to analyse important issues within economics.
