A supervised final year project that involves developing new skills which include theoretical/practical design and production techniques. Students work as an individual or part of a team on projects related to their major. The student should be able to critically reflect on the relationship between their academic studies and engineering workplace practice, test theories, identify gaps in their knowledge to enhance their understanding of practical engineering matters. Part A of the specialisation project focuses on planning of the project and development of the methodology as well as the documentation thereof.
