Certificate of Proficiency in Fitness Instruction

Our fitness industry short courses have been qualifying people as personal trainers and fitness instructors for over 20 years. We have a wealth of knowledge and expertise at our finger tips. We are committed to helping you learn how to safely train clients and members to help them achieve their health, fitness and exercise goals.

Both the Certificate of Proficiency in Personal Training and Fitness Instruction are offered part-time during the weekends only at the AUT North Campus.

Sports Massage
Advanced and Body Composition
Anthropometry

We offer short courses in Sports Massage and Body Composition/Anthropometry that have REPs CEC requirements. These courses may also appeal to you if you are interested in learning more about the human body and gaining new knowledge and skills. Sports Massage/Advanced is offered in the evenings at the AUT North Campus and Body Composition/Anthropometry is offered at AUT Millennium.

Certificate of Proficiency in Medical Terminology

The Short Course in Medical Terminology is in a niche of its own and caters for people who are already working in or wanting to work in the health care arena, eg hospitals, medical records, ward clerks, typists and clinic receptions. This short course is available solely online.

Certificate of Proficiency in Pacific Nutrition

Primarily for Pacific workers and anyone working with Pacific communities. An opportunity to learn how to advise, train and support others in making healthy food choices. This short course is delivered off-campus at various locations.
