Welcome to AUT Business School, ‘Mātai Aronui’ – a place of significant study and inquiry, where we will advance and grow.
We seek to inform, inspire and grow great citizens who will make a difference in the world of business and beyond.
At the heart of our teaching and research is collaborative engagement with business, the professions and the community.
Our flagship Bachelor of Business offers students strong base knowledge and a variety of specialisations. It brings theory alive with a variety of real-world learning activities and assessments. It includes an extensive internship (work placement) experience, where students learn and advance their career opportunities here and abroad. Some students do an applied research project, with the potential to progress into postgraduate studies.
Our comprehensive suite of postgraduate programmes caters to both research and professional-career focussed students. Bite-sized postgraduate certificates and diplomas and more extensive masters and PhD programmes are available.
We believe in high quality research that has impact. We have research strengths across all major business disciplines and several leading concentrations – notably in work research, gender and diversity, occupational health and safety, empirical finance and social data analytics. These research peaks provide partnership opportunities and seek to make an on-the-ground difference.
Significant international connections, through academic partnerships, research collaborations and organisational memberships, contribute to a strong global outlook. Students have the opportunity to undertake an international exchange with some of the best business schools in Europe, Asia, and North America.
AUT Business School's accreditations and rankings signal internationally benchmarked programmes and world-class research; accreditation by AACSB International places us among an elite group of 5% of business schools in the world.
Alongside more than 50 of New Zealand’s top business leaders, I have made a commitment to Champions for Change. New Zealand’s rich diversity is currently an underutilised pool of skills and knowledge, particularly at senior leadership level. Together, as Champions for Change, we have pledged to support a goal of achieving truly diverse leadership in New Zealand by 2020.
AUT Business School is located in the heart of Auckland, New Zealand's largest city, with one of the world’s most culturally diverse populations. You’ll see this diversity reflected in our staff and students.
Come join us. We want you to feel at home here, to learn and to grow, and to make a worthwhile difference in the world.
