AUT University has agreed to observe and be bound by the New Zealand Government's code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students. Copies of the code are available in six languages from the Ministry of Education. Ministry of Education website

New Zealand market sentiment index launches

Bull or bear? For the first time New Zealand investors can quantify of how sentiment is shaping local financial markets.

Launched by AUT’s Auckland Centre for Financial Research (ACFR), the FINSENT Sentiment Index measures the feeling or tone of a market, commonly known as market sentiment.


MARS students put up creative window display

If you’re walking past the corner of Wakefield Street and Mayoral Drive, you’ll notice a flashy new window display jazzing up the AUT WY building. The display is the work of five Bachelor of Business students – their project for their final Marketing, Advertising, Retailing, Sales (MARS) paper. The final project gives students the opportunity to work on a MARS-related project from research, planning, design, through to installation/implementation.


Professor Tim Maloney steps into chief economist role

Head of AUT’s School of Economics and co-director of the Centre for Social Data Analytics, Professor Tim Maloney, has been appointed to the role of Chief Economist at the Ministry of Social Development (MSD).
