Japanese language and culture studies provide students with the tools necessary for roles in areas such as business and government.
AUT's teachers and practitioners of language work with the following organisations, some of which offer scholarships and opportunities for work experience.
Each year, four students and a faculty member from AUT are invited to attend the Technos International exchange programme held during June in Tokyo, Japan. Find out more about Technos International Week.

Ocha no Jikan is a weekly Japanese meetup hosted by AUT's School of Language and Culture. It is run by students and is open to all AUT and Auckland University students, Japanese exchange students, Japanese nationals and secondary school students of Japanese. Read more about Ocha no Jikan here.
