Health and physical education at AUT University: an overview

Health, sport and physical activity remain at the heart of New Zealand's wellbeing. Learning in health and physical education encourages young people to develop the knowledge, confidence and skills needed to be connected and active members of society.  The study of health and physical education at AUT focuses on the integration of hauora, health promotion and the socio-ecological aspects that underpin the philosophy of health and physical education in New Zealand schools.

    Sport New Zealand (Sport NZ) is the new name for the  government organisation responsible for sport and recreation (formerly SPARC).
