Learn about industry trends, job descriptions and the skills you need for careers related to AUT programmes.
We have three services to help you find internships and graduate roles while you're studying at AUT; all advertising roles designed specifically for interns and graduates.
AUT talenthub is a free online recruitment service for AUT students. Consultants work closely with employers and students to fill roles advertised through the talenthub job board. This includes graduate roles with organisations like Gentrack, Babcock, Chapman Tripp and Asia Pacific Health, and internships at organisations like NZTE, Mental Health Foundation and Quest.
These two job boards host information and contacts for lots of internships, graduate programmes and co-op type opportunities. Once students have enrolled with Elab Online, they can access these job boards and get support from the employability team on their applications.
The AUT Edge Award and Beyond AUT Award help you become highly employable. You’ll develop the skills you need to gain an edge in the workplace: increase your employability and leadership skills, improve your networks and get NZ work experience.
The AUT Edge Award is open to all AUT students while the Beyond AUT Award is for postgraduate students only.
The AUT Employability and Career Services team has recently taken top honours in the NZ Association of Graduate Employers (NZAGE) Awards, winning the NZAGE Best Careers Service for 2022.
