Research interests:

My primary research interests are in the area of biomedical, laboratory information systems and quality healthcare.

Biomedical

The limitless potential of biomedical sciences and the opportunity for world-changing breakthroughs are both exciting and compelling to me. My desire to understand biology on a deeper level and to be involved in the analysis and diagnosis of disease first inspired me to pursue a career in biomedical science. The prospect of obtaining a diverse role in the medical field that holds a strong link to human biology makes it a natural path for me to take. Investigating the fragile balance between the facts developed from what we know and the hypotheses that form from what we have yet to discover in biomedical science is the general goal of my research.

Laboratory information system

New generations of health information system is aided by the global presence of the technology infrastructure, and are playing an increasingly important role in the healthcare. Such increasing reach is making the demand for robust operation of such systems more stringent than ever. the dramatic increase in heterogeneity of the networked devices such as handhelds and embedded computers is making the building of integrated healthcare information systems ever more challenging. Investigating the principles underlying the design and implementation of such robust and pervasive laboratory is the general goal of my research.

Quality healthcare

In addition to biomedical and laboratory information systems, i have a great interest in quality healthcare. My research goal focus on improving the quality and safety of laboratory health-care system. This involves developing knowledge, tools, and data needed to improve health system performance and help patients, health-care professionals, and policy makers make informed health decisions.
