Research interests:

My research is primarily in the field of architecture and interior design. I am an applied researcher using practice based research projects to explore systems based approaches to design, documentation and construction. My research also touches the areas of art, urban planning and sustainability.

Much of my research involves iterative design work where research trajectories are explored across projects. Results are built projects, design and master planning propositions, and art exhibitions. During my tenure at AUT my projects have won Gold Pins (the highest interior awards in NZ) at the Designers Institute of NZ Best Awards in consecutive years, been selected by Grand Designs NZ to be televised on national TV, included curatorial invitations at the Auckland Triennial at the Auckland Art Gallery, exhibited at the City Gallery in Wellington and acquired as part of the permanent collection at Tepapa Tongarewa Museum of New Zealand.
