Current Research Projects:

I am currently a PhD student studying the motivation of actual tourists to a destination. The aim is to create a replacement for the current 'reason for visit' (RFV) method used today.

This method assumes tourists have a very distinct and single focus motivation to travel to a specific place. Research shows that much tourist motivation is hybrid in nature, and that the methodology involves self selection, making the RFV model both unreliable out of date.
