Celeita Williams (nee Chippindale) is an Intensive Care Paramedic and Paramedic degree lecturer at AUT University in Auckland, New Zealand. Celeita joined the team at AUT after 10 years working as an ambulance paramedic, where her focus has been to safely treat patients at home and avoid emergency department attendance where possible. This enables patients to safely receive healthcare in their own community.  Following strong family involvement in the aviation industry, Celeita completed her Master of Health Science endorsed in Aeromedical Retrieval at Otago University. She holds a passion for safety and risk mitigation for those working in the environment. This same passion for safety and risk mitigation from the aviation industry, has now translated into the primary health care environment, where she is conducting research investigating the impact urinary incontinence on falls, as seen by ambulance clinicians in the community. Celeita currently teaches third year and postgraduate paramedicine papers.
