Biography:

Angela completed her Bachelor of Business degree majoring in Accounting and Finance at AUT University. Having developed an interest in financial research, Angela continued with post graduate study achieving First Class Honours specialising in Finance. The desire for higher education and hoping to make a difference for Māori attracted Angela to undertake a PhD. Her PhD will examine several aspects of boardroom network connectivity within the New Zealand context, employing the Social Network Analysis Framework. Angela received the Vice-Chancellor Doctoral Scholarship Award in 2014, Business and Law Postgraduate Academic Excellence Scholarship in 2013 and is the 2013 Top Māori Graduate in the Bachelor of Business.

Angela’s Research Supervisors are Associate Professor Aaron Gilbert and Professor Alireza Tourani-Rad.
