AUT currently has strategic sponsorship agreements with a number of organisations.
AUT is both a foundation partner of the ASB Waterfront Theatre and the university partner of the Auckland Theatre Company (ATC).
AUT support of the ATC includes sponsorship of the Theatre in Schools programme, several research initiatives in the Performing Arts and Creative Sector, providing AUT students with discounted access to ATC productions, and a strong presence and use of the new ASB Waterfront Theatre facilities.
AUT is the official education partner of the NZ Breakers basketball team and the player sponsor of Jordan Ngatai.
A component of this sponsorship involves the provision of scholarships to encourage both NZ Breakers players and non-playing staff to study at AUT. AUT students can attend games at discounted rates, and we also often host secondary school students and relevant staff.
AUT is a core partner of the Second Nature Charitable Trust (owner and manager of the VEC), and the education partner of the Vodafone Events Centre Schools Programme.
Situated in South Auckland (very near AUT’s South Campus), the Vodafone Events Centre is one of Auckland’s most iconic venues. The Schools Programme is New Zealand’s largest free schools arts education programme and runs all year round.
AUT is the gallery’s university partner as well as the sponsor of the Pat Hanly Creativity Awards.
AUT’s Faculty of Design and Creative Technologies leads this partnership, and provides opportunities for its students and staff to access and collaborate with the gallery and its artists across lectures, interviews, workshops and research projects.
AUT also invests in a range of commercial event-focused sponsorships including:
