Reasons to use the graphics in the report:
Using graphics in the report can attract the audiences’ attention and it is easier for your audience to understand. But the graphics can also lead the audience to misunderstanding. It is important that you know which type of graphics is appropriate to use it, and how to use it.
There are two types of graphics: tables and figures. Tables are best suited to displaying the information in a small space. The details and comparisons are better to display in a table. The figures are good to display trends, general comparisons, movements, distributions and cycles in your data.
You should not present a graph and a table of the same set of the information that you have also presented in a graphic. A characteristic of good writers is their ability to link the graphics with information.
