You may be able to apply for a scholarship to help fund your Study Abroad experience at AUT.
Go Overseas New Zealand Study Abroad Scholarship (US only)
Students can apply for a Study Abroad Scholarship to New Zealand. The scholarship amount is worth US$15,000. The 2020 scholarship includes round trip flights to New Zealand, travel insurance, and semester tuition fee. Applicants must be US citizens or hold US resident status.
Generation Study Abroad Excellence and Travel Awards (US only)
Education New Zealand and New Zealand tertiary institutions like AUT are supporting Generation Study Abroad students with excellence and travel awards. Applicants must be US citizens or hold US resident status.
Gilman – Education New Zealand Scholarship (US only)
Education New Zealand is committed to offering Gilman scholarships for US students to study abroad in New Zealand. Multiple awards offered every year and award amounts vary.
Financial aid for US students
American students studying at universities outside the USA can use the Global Education Management Services (GEMS) Smart Options Student Loan by Sallie Mae® to bridge the gap between US federal loans (like Direct and PLUS loans) and their education expenses.
