AUT’s mission is to provide great graduates and exceptional learning experiences for all our students. Our focus is on providing the best possible on-campus learning in Semester 2.
For international students currently offshore who are unable to study on-campus due to border restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, there are some AUT programmes you can study online with us in Semester 2. You can progress your qualification now without needing a student visa to study from your home country.
*These programmes offer flexible enrolment and payment options so you can study part-time. This means enrolling in just 1, 2, or 3 papers/subjects. Please note that by studying one or two paper(s)/subject(s), you are known as a part-time student. If New Zealand opens it borders in August 2020, or later this year, you will need to apply for a student visa and will need to become a full-time student. This means you will need to commence full-time at AUT in February 2021. Summer School 2020/21 at AUT may be an option and we will provide more information when available. If you need more information, email: email@example.com with your details.
*Offered part-time only
If you're currently offshore and your chosen programme is not listed above, we encourage you to apply for study in the next possible intake in Semester 1, 2021.
AUT recommends anyone interested in studying online in Semester 2 should check and verify if their respective government will recognise the proposed qualification if one semester is completed online.
These scholarships are open to all international students who are beginning their studies at AUT full-time from Semester 2, 2020 (and for all remaining 2020 intakes). For international students who are currently overseas and new to AUT this scholarship applies for above programmes which are available for study online and are at least bachelor's degree level and 120 points (this excludes AUT’s certificates and postgraduate certificates).
