Our activity programme gives you the opportunity to experience the best of living in New Zealand while you study at International House. Joining our activities is a great way to practise your English and make friends.
Every Friday we organise social activities after our morning class. Activities like soccer or other games are free. If we visit a museum or somewhere else that might charge an entry fee, you can pay it when we arrive. These activities are led by a teacher.
Every week we try to do something different – it’s a great chance for you to explore Auckland while getting to know other students.
International House works with private tour companies which organise day trips and overnight trips from Auckland. We highly recommend these – they’re a great way to experience beautiful scenery and adventure with other international students.
Day trips in or near Auckland can include wine tasting, visiting beaches and lookouts, mountain biking or bush walking.
Some weekend trips include places like Rotorua, Coromandel and the Bay of Islands with activities like:
Day trips start around NZ $85, and overnight trips start around $310 for two nights.
Auckland is the country’s biggest city – vibrant and busy, but with clean air and beaches, easy travel and friendly people. Check the websites below for information about things to do and see in Auckland and New Zealand.
At International House, our small class sizes and excellent teachers will help you succeed in learning English. We offer academic and general courses, as well as teacher training.
