Teaching & Learning forums: All of us are teachers and disseminators of information in various ways. We are a large department within the university and there must be plenty of teaching and learning expertise within our ranks, but we don’t always know where that expertise lies. We are keen to find out:
Who does what? What works well? What doesn’t work so well?
Paul Wells and Gillian Craig have been discussing running some more formalised teaching and learning sessions. If this first one proves popular and the interest is there, more sessions will be run throughout the year. All staff members are welcome to contribute to these.
As a first up contribution, Gillian will be running the following session:
Using technology in the classroom: this session is designed to give some information on the latest research, thoughts and methodology on using technology as a teaching tool.

  • Introducing Slido
  • Student engagement in a technological future
  • Insights from the Digital Campus conference
  • Pedagogy of Care in Higher Education
  • Introducing Kahoot
