Microsoft Office 365

Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and more.

It’s free to download and available to all AUT students.

You can choose which applications you want to use.

SDW apps

You can download and install this software from home – using your home broadband on up to five PC and Mac devices.

Note taking apps


OneNote example

OneNote manages your notes and is available to AUT students through Office 365. It’s especially useful for annotating slides on a tablet with a stylus pen.


Another useful note taking app with similar features to OneNote. You can download Evernote for free.

Flashcards are helpful for learning because you can use them to test yourself. You can make your own flashcards, or use other people’s, on these websites:

EndNote can help you to store, manage and organise your references.
