Study Te Reo Māori at AUT

Te Reo Māori for beginners and intermediate level

You will develop basic oral communication skills, to allow practice of situational and functional Māori. The lessons will follow themes which will reinforce grammar and vocabulary.

Te Reo Māori advanced

This paper is for advanced learners of Te Reo Māori. At this level you will help you advance you listening, oral and writing skills, maintaining the emphasis on practising the spoken word through group work, role play and debate in Te Reo. Emphasis is on the written word and syntax. 80 to 100 per cent of class time is conducted in Māori.

Master of Arts - Te Reo Māori

This postgraduate qualification is delivered in Te Reo Māori utilising smart-board and video-conferencing technology across multiple sites. The thesis or dissertation for this qualification is to be written in te reo.
