Ngā Wai o Horotiu serves as a whānau, cultural and spiritual centre. The marae expresses our deeply held belief that AUT is a centre of learning not only for all peoples, but also a particular place where Māori have a special and distinct role. Te Ara Poutama is situated next door to Ngā Wai o Horotiu affirming tikanga Māori in the university's environment
There are opportunities for faculty-based scholarships, scholarships for Māori students and general scholarships for students studying for degree and postgraduate qualifications.
