Co-op1
Apply and develop the knowledge and skills gained throughout your AUT Māori media or Māori development degree in a work-based setting.
In your final semester of your AUT Māori development or Māori media degree you complete a work placement for an organisation in your chosen industry. This co-operative education experience gives you the opportunity to apply what you've learnt in a real-life working environment.

Our students undertake work placements in:

  • Radio and television
  • Film production
  • Teaching across all sectors
  • Tribal organisations
  • Government agencies
  • Community organisations

Payment for work undertaken during the co-op is negotiated between you and the organisation. Most students are paid during their co-op placement.
