Dance is a unique and inspiring art form. Increased participation in dance can improve people’s health, well-being and sense of belonging. At AUT our dance staff’s innovatory approach to research, ‘dancing with difference’, fuses theory with practice and is designed to promote, inspire and include a range of dance artists, scholars, educators, media artists, scientists and culturally diverse communities.
Our researchers are:
Linda Ashley: education; research nexus; semiotics; choreographic process; writing dance; dance for older adults and special populations.
