This course covers the assessment of Basic Body Composition. Anthropometry is the study of the measurement of the human body in terms of the dimensions of bone, muscle and adipose (fat) tissue, As part of this course you will learn how to accurately take body measurements including skinfolds, muscle girths and bone widths.
The measurement of body composition has many practical uses including the monitoring of fitness goals and nutritional status, the growth of children, as well as sports performance assessment and even in the design of equipment and clothing.
This course is applicable for health practitioners, nutritionists and dieticians, fitness instructors and personal trainers, scientists and engineers.
This is an internationally recognised course that is endorsed by ISAK, the International Governing body of Anthropometry. Each participant who successfully completes the assessment criteria will gain ISAK Certification.
