Bachelor of Sport and Recreation and Bachelor of Business Conjoint
Keep on moving
One of the biggest dilemmas Amy Alison faced when she was leaving school was choosing from all the study options – so she decided to keep her options open with a conjoint Bachelor of Sport and Recreation and Bachelor of Business.
“I had a passion for sport so knew I wanted to follow that and the opportunity to combine it with a business degree seemed to open so many more doors. The Bachelor of Sport and Recreation provided so many quality learning experiences and the conjoint papers all complemented each other well.” Amy’s co-op placement helped crystallise her career plans.
“My co-op placement with the sporting goods distributor Brittain Wynyard let me experience the world of sport marketing and business, and also to realise that my passion lay in the physical activity industry.”
Now Amy works as a SPARC Active Schools Facilitator encouraging a culture of physical activity among primary and intermediate students – and she’s also taking up another of her study options with a Masters in Health Science.
