SHINE Sport
Overview
SHINE Sport was launched locally in 2007 with one simple idea – that sport could be the catalyst to inspire and motivate students in and out of the classroom, that it would provide athletes with a toolkit of skills to help them not just in sport but in life. Since then, it's become one of the most popular AUT school project. The SHINE team deliver 4 quarterly sessions into 30 schools across Auckland.
The students are always top of mind for our facilitators, we make sure that the SHINE sessions are facilitated to the highest calibre and that learning, through quality engagement takes place.
SHINE Magazine
Twice a year, AUT produces a SHINE magazine that showcases student achievements, articles of interest from key sports people and insights into the SHINE programme's development.

Schools and Partnerships
The SHINE programme is continually being strengthened by key partnerships. Originally developed between Noah Hickey and AUT, this partnership now sees Noah as a Patron of the programme. Noah continues to keep a close eye on the progression and successes of many of the SHINE students.
AUT provides key expertise from across various disciplines in supporting SHINE. We look to continue to build key industry partners to provide our students with the best possible expertise to strategically add to the calibre of the programme currently and moving forward to 2011.
