  • Completion of Year 12.
  • In addition, students will be selected on the basis of academic achievement in NCEA and the appropriateness of NCEA subjects to the study of Social Sciences.

The Certificate provides the opportunity to gain entrance to some undergraduate degree programmes offered at AUT, improve your study skills, and increase your confidence in a university setting. The Certificate serves as an introductory programme to the Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences or Psychology and other relevant qualifications at AUT. It may also provide a foundation for social services, community work and other human services work.
